Supporting students in their academic advancements!

My name is Sesona, and I am a first-year BCom student at Rhodes University in South Africa.

Nothing is more frightening than the transition from high school to university. My first year was not only challenging because of this transition, but also because of the financial difficulties I faced, as I initially had no funding to support my studies.

Continuing with my studies while being uncertain about how I would pay my fees and pursue my dreams was an overwhelming burden that negatively affected my academic focus. However, in the midst of this uncertainty and stress, the Myriad Canada Scholarship became the light I needed during one of the most difficult periods of my life. It not only covered my tuition fees; it provided me with the peace of mind needed to fully concentrate on my academic responsibilities.

My academic success this year was therefore not only a result of my hard work and dedication, but also of the relief from financial pressure. For this support, I am deeply grateful to the Myriad Canada Scholarship.
