2025: Another Year of Generosity, Hope… and Gratitude
Although our holidays and traditions may differ, this season has a gentle way of reminding us of what we share: gathering with the people we love, celebrating moments of joy, and welcoming the promise of new beginnings filled with light.
And yet… it’s impossible to ignore how deeply fractured our world feels right now.
More than 130 million people are displaced across the globe. Brutal conflicts continue in Sudan, Ukraine, Gaza and beyond. Climate change – called by many the ‘defining crisis of our time’ – marked 2025 with some of the most devastating events in recent memory: Hurricane Melissa’s destruction across Jamaica and the Caribbean; catastrophic flooding in Asia and East Africa; and relentless heatwaves and wildfires sweeping Europe, the US, Canada and more.
Adding to this, due to drastic USAID cuts, global humanitarian funding fell by 35% this year, forcing critical life-saving services to scale back at the very moment they are needed most.
This is precisely when the compassion of Canadian philanthropists shines brightest.
Over 2,000 generous Canadians contributed around $25 million to Myriad Canada this year alone – a powerful affirmation that we care not only about our own communities, but about people everywhere who face hardship, conflict and loss.
Your ongoing commitment brings hope and light to thousands of individuals in some of the world’s most vulnerable places, every single day.
Since Myriad Canada opened its doors just eight years ago, nearly $105 million has been entrusted to us by donors like you, supporting more than 450 charitable projects in over 60 countries. Your impact is real, deeply personal and profoundly transformative.
Every effort and every life touched reflects a shared belief in human dignity, resilience and possibility.
As we look ahead to 2026, we do so with profound gratitude. Your generosity continues to meet a world in urgent need – and your hope reaches farther than you can imagine.
From all of us at Myriad Canada Foundation – and on behalf of our partners and the communities you uplift – THANK YOU.
We wish you and yours a holiday season filled with peace, health and moments of joy, and a new year that brings renewal, connection and hope.
We are pleased to share (below) a small ‘taste’ of the 100+ projects in 37 countries currently underway – thanks to your generosity!
Supporting Education in Ukraine
For countless Ukrainian children, the war has stolen classrooms, routines and the simple safety required to learn. Working with Children of Heroes, this project helped 1,576 young people continue their studies and reclaim hope. Among them is Alice (pseudonym), who – after losing her father – found renewed possibility in pursuing her dream of learning English. Your support helps transform heartbreak into a path forward.

Humanitarian Aid in Gaza with World Central Kitchen
Since the earliest days of the October 7th conflict, Myriad Canada has worked with World Central Kitchen (WCK) to deliver urgently needed meals to families caught in unimaginable circumstances. One little girl, Sabah, waited each day for the WCK team. When she tasted the warm bean stew she received, she told the team that it ‘reminded her of her grandmother and tasted like home.’
In moments of crisis, even something as basic as a simple and familiar meal can provide comfort, dignity and connection.

Researching Camel Milk Production
A wonderful example of the breadth – and sometimes delightful surprise – of the work you make possible, this project is unlocking the potential of camel milk, a vital source of nutrition and income in places like Tunisia. Led on the ground by the University of Torino, the research blends cutting-edge science with local knowledge to strengthen milk quality and support the communities who rely on it. Innovation, tradition and impact – all thanks to you.

Supporting Child Victims of Trafficking in Vietnam
Rising poverty and inequality in Vietnam have fueled a surge in trafficking, forced labour and child homelessness, leaving many young people with profound trauma and almost no access to help. Through this project, young survivors receive the critical, high-quality mental health care they need thanks to the expertise and compassion of the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation – helping them heal, regain stability and return to school, family and community life.
Your generosity is giving these children not just support – but the chance to imagine a future again.
