Context
In a context of military escalation in the Middle East, strikes on the South of Lebanon and Beirut have heavily intensified since March 2nd, 2026. According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA):
“ The surge in violence represents the most serious deterioration in security conditions since the November 2024 ceasefire, deepening an already severe humanitarian and socio-economic crisis and placing immense strain on families, communities, and overstretched aid services. ”
Over 822,000 people, nearly 300,000 of them children, have registered as being displaced. And around 128,000 people are sheltering in nearly 600 collective sites across the country. However, the true number of displaced people is believed to be even greater.
Goals
- To support Internally Displaced Persons in Lebanon by providing basic necessities of life.

- Provide hot meals to IDPs sheltering in public schools
- Provide blankets to ensure protection against the cold

Key Performance Indicators
- Provide 3 hot meals to up to 1,500 IDPs per day, at a unit price of $5 USD.
Myriad Canada is working with Beit el Baraka on this project, a nonprofit whose mission is to provide dignity to Lebanese families who have been deprived of their basic needs and rights. Beit el Baraka is committed to ensuring that IDPs are treated with respect and are provided with vital food support.
Myriad Canada’s role is to carry out charitable activities across the globe in accordance with its charitable purposes. We control and monitor the use of funds and the progress of charitable activities to ensure that donations made to Myriad Canada have the greatest impact in accordance with donors’ expressed wishes.
