Context
In Cabarete, Dominican Republic, many boys face limited access to structured mentorship, after-school support and meaningful career pathways. Without intervention, they risk dropping out of school, engaging in risky behaviors, and missing out on their full potential.
InspireDR believes every boy deserves a safe space, strong role models and the tools to build a confident, responsible future. Through this project with Myriad Canada, Inspire DR is creating that space and setting the stage for long-term impact.
Goals
- Provide free after-school programming for 100+ boys each year.
- Expand curriculum in computer literacy, English, entrepreneurship and vocational training.
- Launch sustainable local social-enterprise ventures to give youth real work-experience and income streams.
- Engage the community through mentorship, service and environmental initiatives.
- Build institutional capacity so InspireDR can sustain and scale its impact for years to come.

Key Performance Indicators to be Reached (KPIs)
InspireDR has offered free after-school programs since 2015 and has already supported 200+ boys to become productive, responsible members of their community. The programs build not only skills but values: respect, perseverance, teamwork and leadership. When boys gain these, their chances of finishing school, succeeding in work and contributing to their communities increase significantly.
Myriad Canada is working with Inspire DR on this project, a nonprofit whose mission is to educate, mentor, and inspire youth to develop into productive and responsible citizens.
Myriad Canada’s role is to carry out charitable activities across the globe in accordance with its charitable purposes. We control and monitor the use of funds and the progress of charitable activities to ensure that donations made to Myriad Canada have the greatest impact in accordance with donors expressed wishes. As a member of the Myriad Alliance with offices in Canada, the US, Europe, Asia and Australia, Myriad Canada has a vast international network and extensive practical expertise.
